A young woman was recently forced to call authorities to help her out of a less-than-ideal situation. In a now-viral video “workout fail” posted to social media, TikTok user cfaulds20 is seen hanging upside-down on a piece of exercise equipment during a late-night gym session. “When you have to call 9-1-1 because you get stuck on the inversion thing at 3am at the gym…” the text overlay on the short clip reads. The viral mishap, shared on Aug. 29, has since racked up over seven million views, with subsequent snippets further explaining the situation totaling an additional one million views, and counting, combined. Following the initial video, a second clip shows the young woman attempting to pull herself up to flip around on the equipment, to no avail. “Since ya’ll have been asking… here’s when I knew I was STUCK…” she wrote. Luckily, she was wearing an Apple Watch, which helped her get in contact with an emergency services dispatcher. “There’s only, like, one other person at the gym, and I got stuck in this… you know that back board thing that, like, flips back?” she attempted to explain before trying to call out to someone nearby for help. Later in the call, she admitted how “embarrassing” the predicament she had gotten into was, but that she just couldn’t seem to flip herself right-side-up, despite her efforts. Eventually, a police officer came to the rescue, along with another man, who both helped get the young woman back on her feet with ease. Several users took to the comments, noting how they’re glad she’s safe because hanging upside down for too long is never a good thing. Others commended her on her ability to stay calm in the anxiety-inducing situation. “My head still feels heavy and just off 18 hours later. hoping I can just sleep it off,” she wrote in a comment a day after the incident. We’re just glad everything worked out in the end!
