What does Tunde Oyeneyin eat in a day?
It’s the burning nutrition question Peloton members everywhere want to know: What does Tunde typically eat in a day? “It really depends on what my activity looks like that day. I fuel based on how hard my engine needs to run,” Oyeneyin says. “If it’s a heavy lifting day I tend to carb up. If I’m going for distance or planning a long cardio session, I grab things high in fat like avocados, nuts, and oils.”
Peloton’s Tunde Oyeneyin’s wellness secrets
Wellness secret #1: Snack smart
Planning your snacks out by keeping something on hand is a meaningful way to make sure your snacks are as healthy as your meals, Oyeneyin says. “I always keep a Bulletproof Collagen Protein Bar in my bag—especially my favorite, the Vanilla Shortbread,” Oyeneyin reveals. “They’re perfect to just pop open whenever I get a craving and they sustain my energy throughout my workouts.”
Wellness secret #2: Stick to coffee and water
“I definitely stick to water for the most part, but always begin my day with coffee. I love to start the day with a Bulletproof Cold Brew Latte—it’s canned and easy to just grab and go. It gives me the energy I need without the crash. Vanilla is my go-to! Then rehydrate, always,” Oyeneyin says.
Wellness secret #3: Pack on the fruit
A morning açaí bowl is Oyeneyin’s breakfast of choice. “I load up my smoothies and açaí bowls with Goji berries, blueberries, strawberries,” Oyeneyin reveals. “They are rich in antioxidants and add sweetness with natural sugar. Pecans and broccoli are also a great source of antioxidants.”
Wellness secret #4: Load up on veggies
If you don’t normally reach for the vegetables at the supermarket, try incorporating different veggies in a lunchtime salad. “I LOVE salads!” Oyeneyin says. “Like, actually truly enjoy them. I will toss just about everything in my refrigerator in a bowl along with MCT oil, which serves as my brain food.”
Wellness secret #5: Listen to your own body
Oyeneyin’s top wellness secret? Be in tune to what your body specifically needs. After all, there’s no one-size-fits-all nutrition or exercise plan. “Every BODY is different,” Oyeneyin says. “Over the years I’ve been able to find what works for me.” Want more Peloton?
