What happened to Tyler Cameron on The Bachelorette?
Just a recap on Tyler: He became a breakout star on The Bachelorette for his sensitivity and respect for Hannah, along with his no-B.S. attitude toward drama in the house. While Tyler was Hannah’s first runner-up, she asked him during the After the Final Rose show if he would be willing to go out sometime after she dumped her first choice, Jed Wyatt, for (allegedly) having a girlfriend up until filming started.
Tyler Cameron dated—and then split with—Gigi Hadid
While Tyler was spotted with Hannah after the After the Final Rose special aired, he was linked to Gigi Hadid soon after. The two were spotted together all over New York City, and in upstate New York. Tyler even accompanied Gigi to her grandmother’s funeral in the Netherlands. But the couple didn’t last. Tyler has been vague about the details, but he told PEOPLE TV’s Reality Check in October that the two are still friends. “She’s a great person, and I met a great friend,” he said. “She’s someone that I have a lot of respect for and think highly of, so I met a great person.” Tyler also said that “it wasn’t like a bad breakup or anything like that. It was just, we’re at different parts of our lives right now.”
Tyler Cameron maybe had a fling with Hannah Brown
Tyler holed up in his hometown of Jupiter, Florida when the pandemic hit, along with Matt, Hannah, and Tyler’s brother, Ryan. The group, along with a few more friends, called themselves The Quarantine Crew and built up a huge following on TikTok. One post even joked that “Tyler finally got into Hannah’s pants” (the two switched clothes). There was no official word from Tyler or Hannah about their dating status, but multiple reports said they were spotted looking cozy while out in public. One photo from Page Six showed Hannah and Tyler lounging in front of his house on their phones sitting in a position that screamed super close friends or maybe more.
But does Tyler Cameron have a new girlfriend?
Tyler has been linked with model Camila Kendra, and the two have been spotted together in Florida. “Tyler with Camila Kendra, his girlfriend/partner/significant other/just someone he’s seeing/whatever you want to call her, tonight at 1000 North in Jupiter, FL," Reality Steve tweeted in mid-January, along with a photo. Tyler and Kendra have been quiet about the (alleged) relationship.
Apparently, he “falls for someone” on Matt James’ season of The Bachelor
Previews for Monday night’s episode show Tyler and Matt hanging out and playing pool, but Matt says on the Chicks in the Office podcast that his buddy has his own special moment on the show. “Tyler falls for somebody that week, and it’s not who you think,” Matt says. Matt also had this to say on Extra: “Just to tease a little bit of next week’s date, he wound up finding himself in a situation that he hadn’t signed up for. You gotta tune in next week to find out.” Given that Tyler has been spotted with Kendra a lot lately, it seems unlikely that he actually fell in love with someone. But…we’ll find out.
He lost his mom
Tyler’s mom Andrea died of a brain aneurysm Feb. 29 at the age of 55. Tyler shared an emotional video on Instagram of his family doing the “Hero’s Walk” as his late mom was wheeled into surgery for organ donation. “I had a hard time deciding if I should share these final moments with her for the world to see,” he wrote in the caption. “I also thought that if I could share this video with y’all, that it could possibly get others to say yes to donating their organs and that’s what my momma would have wanted.” Tyler said the the process “helped our family find a positive light in a very dark time.” He continued, “Our mother now lives on through me and my brothers but also to the man she was able to give more life to. My mom would do anything to impact the world in a positive way and these are her final ways of doing it.”
He officially moved to New York City
Tyler and Matt are actually roommates in NYC. Tyler told PEOPLE in July that he moved into his “first big boy apartment” in the city in October, which was furnished by Raymour & Flanigan. “I kind of just went after it and went all in,” he said of working with the brand. Tyler also joked, “I’d say I have an eye like Joanna Gaines,” before admitting that he’d never furnished an apartment before.
He’s been spending a lot of time in Florida

Tyler has 2.2 million followers on Instagram and, like most people in his position, he’s been doing spon-con to make a little money.
Tyler Cameron even wrote a book!
In December, Tyler shared an early look on Instagram at his book, You Deserve Better: What Life Taught Me About Love, Relationships, and Becoming Your Best Self. “This book is very personal to me.
