Taking the stage was a group of disparate entertainers: Alicia Keys sang her new single “Old Memories,” Ed Sheeran performed his song “Shivers,” Jennifer Lopez sang “On My Way (Marry Me) from her upcoming Marry Me movie, Carrie Underwood and John Legend, performed their holiday duet, “Hallelujah.” Walker Hayes made his The Voice debut performance with his country hit “Fancy Like;” Coldplay performed its collaboration with BTS, “My Universe;” and Keke Palmer dueted with Tori Kelly on “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” with an introduction from Matthew McConaughey and Nick Kroll from Sing 2. But each of the finalists also performed along with their coaches: Hailey Mia and Kelly Clarkson did a duet of “Funny” by Jasmine Thompson and Zedd. Blake Shelton and Paris Winningham rocked the room with “Love Train” by The O’Jays. John and Jershika Maple got into the holiday spirit with “O Holy Night.” Kelly returned to perform “Leave Before You Love Me” by Jonas Brothers and Marshmello with Girl Named Tom. The final performance by a coach and artist was Blake with Wendy Moten singing “Just a Fool,” which is a song Blake originally recorded with Christina Aguilera. Finally, host Carson Daly got down to the real business of the night: announcing the results of America’s vote from Monday night’s performance show and the finalist who won the competition. The artist finishing in fifth place was Jershika Maple. The artist finishing in fourth place was Hailey Mia. The artist finishing in third place was Paris Winningham. The artist finishing in second place was Wendy Moten.

The winner of The Voice was Girl Named Tom, who made history by becoming the first group to win. “This has been the most amazing thing to work with you all season,” Kelly told the trio from Ohio, who had four songs on iTunes in the Top 10 at the same time this season. “I am so happy to be your coach. I love your harmonies. You’ve done such amazing things. You have such a huge fan base behind you. Let’s capitalize on that and keep it going.”
