Emily in Paris has also been renewed for season 4. Here’s everything we know so far about Season 3 of Emily in Paris, but caution: Spoilers ahead for Emily in Paris Season 2 if you haven’t watched all 10 episodes yet!
Will there be a Season 3 of Emily in Paris?
The second season of Emily in Paris ended on a cliffhanger—actually, more than one, which is one of the likely reasons why Netflix chose to bring it back for seasons 3 and 4. True, Netflix has canceled other shows that similarly ended without closure, but it seemed unlikely for a show that’s so popular (season 2 immediately entered Netflix’s top 10 in the U.S.) and has attracted so much attention, not to mention a couple of Emmy Award nominations. News of the Season 3 renewal came after Collins told Glamour in December 2021, “I hope that we get a Season 3, because I really hope we get to come back and do this again.” When filming on Season 2 wrapped, fans also noticed a potential clue Collins left in one of her since-deleted Instagram posts. “We’re heading home, but keeping a little piece of us here until the next time…” she wrote—suggesting there may be more Emily to come! Prior to filming Season 2, Collins likewise hinted to Deadline that as far as she’s concerned, there will always be loads more to learn, do and explore with her onscreen character. “I’m excited to dive deeper into those backstories and spend more time intermingling the two groups of people that she meets [her work friends and her friends outside of work]," she told the outlet. “Maybe we get to actually get to a bit more of her backstory, and experience that with some of the other characters. But you always know with Emily you’re going to have humor and you’re going to have adventure. There’s going to be no shortage of that coming up—and great fashion.”

When was Emily in Paris season 3 filmed?

What happened at the end of Season 2 of Emily in Paris?
(WARNING: Emily in Paris Season 2 spoilers ahead!!) Two things come to a head for Emily at the end of Season 2: First is her love triangle (or love square?) with Alfie, Gabriel and Camille. When Alfie tells Emily he’s going back to London early, Emily has to decide whether she wants to embark on a long-distance relationship with him—even if it’s just across the English Channel. In deep convo with Mindy, though, she realizes she’s still in love with Gabriel, and only put her feelings for him aside because she didn’t want to hurt Camille. But when Emily goes to tell Gabriel her true feelings, it turns out he and Camille are back together—and moving in with each other as well. Bad timing for Emily and Gabriel once again. The other cliffhanger comes with Emily’s job. Madeline has so alienated Sylvie that she decides to leave Savoir and start her own company—taking the staff (including Luc and Julien) with her, along with many of their clients. Sylvie, despite her sometimes harsh treatment of Emily, asks her to join them at her new firm. Should Emily leave the American company she’s worked for all these years to start a new adventure, which would also mean living indefinitely in Paris? In the last scene of Season 2, Emily calls Sylvie and says, “I’ve made my decision.” But what is it?
What will happen in Season 3 of Emily in Paris?
Presumably, Emily and Gabriel’s relationship will be put on hold yet again in Season 3, since he got back with Camille at the end of Season 2. But sooner or later, we’re betting Emily will get together with Gabriel on a more permanent basis (sorry, Alfie!)—after all, so far they’ve only had a one-night stand in Season 1 and a kiss in Season 2. There is also the question of what will happen with Emily and Camille’s friendship—although we really wish they would stop fighting over a boy! As for whether Emily will join Sylvie’s new firm, the answer is probably, eventually, yes. In the meantime, it’s possible she could stay on at Savoir as she helps Madeline build the company back up after the staff’s mass exodus—which could position her and Sylvie as business rivals. But we think, even if not right away, at some point Emily will join forces with Sylvie. Season 3 will hopefully also expand upon Mindy’s storyline as her band continues to be more successful; we’d likewise love to see her estranged father make a visit to Paris, as she definitely has unfinished business with her family that is ripe for character exploration. As for secondary characters Julien and Luc, as well as Sylvie’s relationship with her young photographer boyfriend? More, more, more, s’il vous plait! Collins has also joked about someone she’d like to see in a future season of Emily in Paris: Sex and the City icon Carrie Bradshaw (a.k.a. Sarah Jessica Parker); after all, Emily in Paris creator Darren Star also created SATC! “I feel like maybe that needs to happen. I might tell Darren about that,” Emily told Variety in 2020 about a Carrie cameo. “She could be like an apparition. Emily walks by, and there’s a reflection in a window, and she looks in, but she sees Carrie. Then it goes back and it’s her, and she’s like, ‘What?’ I think that’d be kind of great.”

Who was new in the Emily in Paris cast for Season 2?
In order to maintain her friendship with Camille (even though Camille is now broken up with Gabriel), Emily looks to a new love interest, Alfie (Lucien Laviscount). He’s a British banker in Paris for work (like Emily) and the two meet in French class. Although his brusque personality and dislike of Paris clashes with Emily’s rosy view of things, they soon form a romantic attachment. Emily also meets fashion designer Grégory Eilliot Dupré (playwright and actor Jeremy O. Harris), a former protégé turned rival of Pierre Cadault. She helps him pull off a one-of-a-kind fashion show in the famous Hall of Mirrors in Versailles, the former royal palace outside of Paris. While in the French Riviera resort town of Saint-Tropez, Emily meets client Laurent G. (Arnaud Binard), a club owner who also turns out to be Sylvie’s husband (but they have a very French open relationship, and don’t live together). Season 2 also brings back more of Kate Walsh, who made a brief appearance in Season 1 as Emily’s American boss, Madeline. In Season 2, the very pregnant, constantly carrot-crunching Madeline (seriously, she’s always talking with her mouth full) comes to Paris to shake things up at Savoir—which has unintended consequences for Emily.
Is there an Emily in Paris Season 3 trailer?
A trailer for Emily in Paris Season 3 dropped on Nov. 30, 2022. We see her enjoying an amusement park (bumper cars!) and the French countryside, working at the marketing firm and brushing up on her French.
