“I don’t even take my phone backstage because I don’t want anything to distract me from the responsibility of supporting these acts,” Crews says. “I’m not a judge. When they go out there, I’m their cheerleader, and when they come back off the stage, I’m their counselor. I’m the guy that really, really has to let these people know that even though they may have got some criticism or even if they got an X or whatever, to take it and make it constructive and to really, really grow with it.” Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell and Crews have all used their Golden Buzzers to date for Northwell Health Nurse Choir, Nightbirde (whose real name is Jane Marczewski), and World TaekwandoDemonstration Team, respectively. That means that only Heidi Klum has a Golden Buzzer remaining, which will send the lucky act of her choice directly to the live shows. Will she use it this week?
